BEVERLY SAMSON

Beverly Samson is the Project Manager of HealthJustice Philippines, overseeing the
organization’s front-of-package labeling policy initiative. She is also the Co-Convenor of the
Healthy Philippines Alliance, a network of civil society organizations fighting NCDs in the
Philippines. She led the NCD Alliance Our Views, Our Voices Initiative in the country, which
developed the Philippine Advocacy Agenda of People Living with NCDs. As a tobacco control
advocate, she spearheaded the Bloomberg-supported program in the Philippine Civil Service
Commission, facilitating the implementation of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco
Control Article 5.3, which prohibits tobacco industry interference in the Philippine government.
