NOMATHEMBA CHANDIWANA

Dr. Nomathemba Chandiwana, BSc, MBBCh, MPH, is a Principal Scientist and Director at Ezintsha, a research unit of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her research focuses on addressing cardiometabolic challenges in HIV, with an emphasis on investigating better, safer, and more cost-effective antiretroviral treatments for African populations living with HIV. She is particularly dedicated to improving health outcomes for women, who represent the majority of people with HIV in Africa.
