BRUCE DUNCAN
Bruce Duncan is a physician and epidemiologist, an emeritus professor of social medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and a member of the Brazilian Academy of Science.
He has published widely on non-communicable diseases, frequently from the perspective of a middle-income country. His prime research focus has been on diabetes, its causes and consequences.
Much of his recent work has derived from the ELSA-Brasil cohort, which he helped establish 18 years ago.
