STEPHANIE AMARAL
Stephanie Amaral is a Health and Nutrition Officer at UNICEF Brazil,
working with health and nutrition advocacy, coordination, evidence
generation and project conception and implementation at the national and
subnational level. She is a nutritionist with master’s in “Child and
Adolescent Health at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG),
Brazil and PhD in Social Statistics and Demography at the University of
Southampton, UK. Her research focused on populational nutritional status
for children and adolescents as well as trends for population dietary habits
and its association with different health outcomes. She participated in
different projects with WHO, USAID and Open University on maternal and
child health before joining UNICEF Brazil, where she has been since 2019.
