MARCELO ALVES DA SILVA MORI
Marcelo A. Mori obtained a Bachelor‘s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo (2002) and a doctoral degree in Molecular Biology from the same university in 2007, with a stint at the Max-Delbrück Institute for Molecular Medicine (Berlin, Germany). Following that, he pursued post-doctoral research at the Joslin Diabetes Center/Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA). In 2011, he was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Biophysics at the Federal University of São Paulo. In 2016, he became Assistant Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Tissue Biology at the Institute of Biology at the University of Campinas, where he served as department head for two terms (2017-2021), research coordinator for one term (2018-2020), and is currently an Associate Professor. Dr. Mori‘s expertise lies in Molecular Biology with a focus on Metabolism, primarily investigating molecular mechanisms associated with metabolic syndrome and the aging process
